Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and talented Video Editor to join our creative team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing editorial and branded content for organic and paid social media and marketing. Your primary goal will be to create highly engaging, entertaining, and visually fresh content that excites our existing followers and attracts new ones.
Key Responsibilities- Edit social videos in all formats for various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Work with original footage shot by internal producers/content creators as well as UGC content.
- Edit longer video formats like VSL and YouTube ads, sourcing and editing B-roll-type videos.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines to deliver videos as scheduled.
- Supply your own ideas for original content and work with other team members to bring their creative ideas to life.
- Work closely with analytics to develop best practices and help build a loyal, highly engaged audience for our brand.
- Keep performance goals top of mind and ensure you hit or exceed them.
- Stay close to other team members to share ideas, successes, and challenges across departments and brands.
- Stay up to date with current market and social media trends.
- Excellent video editing skills.
- Familiarity with social media trends or viral topics.
- Experience with content that's social-first around themes such as health + fitness, and supplements is a plus.
- Strong creative instincts and abilities when it comes to enhancing video footage, including color correction/grading and sound mixing.
- An understanding of how business and creative can work together, and how things like ad sales contribute to your ability to make great content.
- Good editorial judgment, taste, understanding of quality, authority, popularity, and topic diversity for video content.
- Proficient with YouTube/TikTok/Instagram/FB and other video platforms.
- Understanding of the DTC environment and needs.
- Empathy for our target audience in order to be able to convey the right emotions in your videos.
