About the Role

As a Maintenance Manager at Alstom, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of our industrial systems and machinery. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure efficiency and safety objectives are met.
  • Recruit, train, and manage maintenance staff to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and develop training and professional development plans for maintenance technicians.
  • Manage the maintenance department budget, controlling costs and optimizing the use of resources.
  • Evaluate and approve the purchase of equipment, spare parts, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
  • Implement and supervise safety and training programs for maintenance personnel.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance processes.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies and advanced technologies to optimize the performance of equipment and systems.
  • Plan and coordinate major maintenance projects, including installation of new equipment and upgrades of existing systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to ensure the correct execution of projects.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and component replacements.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of equipment, compliance with maintenance plans, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with maintenance service and supply providers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure quality and service standards are met.

About You

  • Technical degree or industrial engineering, electromechanics, automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance management role in an industrial environment.
  • Solid knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance techniques, as well as project management.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations applicable to industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Knowledge in the use of maintenance management software (CMMS).
