Job Overview:

At Airbus, we are seeking a talented Electrical Machine Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating electrical machines for our aircraft platforms.

This role requires a strong understanding of electrical machine design, integration, and control. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement electrical machine systems that meet our safety, cost, quality, time, performance, and maturity standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and integrate electrical machines for existing and future aircraft platforms
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement electrical machine systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety, cost, quality, time, performance, and maturity standards
  • Develop and evaluate control and protection strategies for electrical machines
  • Perform design trades and evaluate electrical machine topologies and technology bricks
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and effective development
  • Develop simulation models for design trades and multi-dimensional evaluations
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in electrical machine integration and control
  • Strong understanding of system engineering processes, V&V, supplier management, and project management
  • Experience in power electronics and high-voltage applications
  • Experience in thermal and lubrication management of electrical machines
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills
  • High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust
  • Fluency in English
