Job Summary

PepsiCo is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Analytics team. As a key member of our Global Agro Digital Transformation initiative, you will play a critical role in driving the development of analytics use cases for Agro, focusing on data exploration and visualization, and modeling of agricultural processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate actionable insights from agronomic data to inform recommendations for maximizing agricultural production in a sustainable and high-quality manner.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless data access and preparation for model usage.
  • Design and implement analytics pipelines and dashboards to refresh and share results for key use cases, incorporating geo-spatial information to empower stakeholders.
  • Support large-scale experimentation and develop data-driven models to drive business decisions.
  • Deploy reusable models and recommendations engines across regions, adapting to local nuances.
  • Research and implement methodologies to refine analytics approaches for each use case, validating results through experimentation.
  • Develop reusable packages or libraries with comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in building solutions for the supply chain space.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a team to deliver production-level analytic solutions.
  • Fluency in Git (version control) and SQL syntax.
  • 3+ years of experience in ETL and data wrangling techniques.
  • 3+ years of experience in statistical and machine learning techniques for supervised and unsupervised problems.
  • Experience with geo-spatial datasets and visualization tools, preferably Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with crop modeling, climate/weather data, and remote sensing.
  • Understanding of Docker.
