We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior Data Scientist** to join our team at PepsiCo, where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) program. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for building and deploying statistical and machine learning models to drive high-quality demand forecasts and new product forecasting.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Code Development: Actively contribute to code development in projects and services, leading and coaching data scientists and engineers.
- Innovation and Experimentation: Act as a contributor in innovation activities, working with data scientists, process leads, and business users to identify data clusters for optimal forecasting performance.
- Model Development and Deployment: Partner with data scientists on discovery, prototypes, and pilot projects, focusing on experiment tracking and translating business models to ML/statistical models.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with IBP market deploy and sustain teams to design, implement, and test pre-processing and post-processing modules for improved demand forecasts.
- Data Engineering and Access: Work with data engineers to ensure proper data access and preparation for model consumption.
- Industrialization and Platform Enablement: Partner with ML engineers and data scientists on industrialization efforts, driving the use of the Platform toolset and demonstrating 'the art of the possible' to the business.
- Business Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with business stakeholders during service design, training, and knowledge transfer.
- Research and Development: Support large-scale experimentation and build data-driven models, researching state-of-the-art methodologies and techniques for feature engineering and model data preprocessing.
- 4+ Years of Experience: 4+ years working in a team to deliver production-level analytic solutions, fluent in git (version control) and with Docker.
- ETL and Data Wrangling: 4+ years' experience in ETL and/or data wrangling techniques, fluent in SQL syntax.
- Statistical and Machine Learning Techniques: 4+ years' experience in Statistical/ML techniques to solve supervised (regression, classification) and unsupervised problems.
- Business Problem-Solving: 3+ years' experience in developing business problem-related statistical/ML modeling with industry tools, with primary focus on Python or Scala development.
- Business Storytelling and Communication: Effective business storytelling and communicating data insights in business-consumable format, fluent in one Visualization tool.
- Agile Methodology and Collaboration: Experience with Agile methodology for teamwork and analytics 'product' creation, fluent in Jira, Confluence.
- Azure Cloud Services: On-the-job experience with Azure cloud services is essential.
- Deep Learning Experience: Experiences with Deep Learning are a plus.
- Revenue Management and Supply Chain Experience: Experience building solutions in the revenue management or in the supply chain space.
