We are seeking a highly motivated Research Technician to join our Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Group. The successful candidate will provide support in projects related to the mechanisms of inter-organ communication in Parkinson's disease.
Parkinson's disease is a complex neurodegenerative disorder of unknown origin. Our research aims to understand how alterations in the gut-brain axis and other communication axes contribute to the onset and/or progression of disease.
The Research Technician will be responsible for manipulating and surgery of mice and rats to generate and characterize rodent Parkinson's disease models, processing human and mouse samples, analyzing and interpreting data, and participating in group meetings and scientific seminars.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Health/Life Sciences, a Master's degree in Neurosciences, Translational Biomedicine Research, Microbiology or similar, and experience in basic laboratory techniques, histological techniques, and molecular techniques.
