About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Initiatives Manager to join our team at Expedia Group. As a key member of our Strategy & Transformation team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and innovation across our Private Label Solutions (PLS) organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Evaluate Strategic Trends: Stay ahead of the curve by identifying key trends, opportunities, and risks that impact our business, with a focus on growing the PLS organization.
  • Support Annual Planning Process: Collaborate with internal and external partners to operationalize our annual plan, ensuring alignment and consensus across the organization.
  • Drive Decision-Making and Alignment: Work closely with senior leadership across PLS and Expedia Group to drive decision-making and ensure alignment on key initiatives.
  • Identify and Frame Opportunities: Independently identify and frame opportunities in a structured, data-driven way to clearly communicate options, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Act as a Change Agent: Drive ongoing innovations and efficiencies across the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to inspire change and implement best practices.
Examples of Initiatives
  • Product Development: Identify and launch new products or business models to drive growth and revenue.
  • Pricing and Go-to-Market Strategies: Develop and implement effective pricing and go-to-market strategies to increase sales and revenue.
  • Sales and Operational Effectiveness: Enhance sales and operational effectiveness by identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Supply and Demand Management: Manage supply and demand to optimize revenue and growth.
  • Post-Merger Integrations: Lead post-merger integrations of teams to drive efficiency and growth.
Requirements
  • 5-7 Years of Experience: Proven experience in strategy consulting and/or a similar role in a leading technology company.
  • MBA Preferred: An MBA is a plus, but not required.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, run, and mobilize multiple stakeholders, including top executives.
  • International Experience: International experience and/or experience in online businesses or the travel industry is preferred.
