Purchasing and Supply Chain Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Raw Materials Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing process for specific product groups, including API's, Excipients, and Amino Acids, for the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchasing and distribution of product streams to regional subsidiaries
  • Requesting, assessing, and selecting quotations based on product specifications
  • Negotiating material prices, payment terms, and incoterms, as well as services portfolios, in accordance with our business strategy
  • Monitoring order processes to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders and managing suppliers proactively to avoid delays
  • Entering purchase orders, processing, and maintaining data in our ERP system
  • Monitoring inventory levels and tracking lead times in collaboration with the planning and logistics team
  • Supporting procurement activities in accordance with our Sourcing and Category Management team

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performing supplier evaluations to assess the quality and reliability of suppliers, pricing, and other purchasing conditions
  • Screening the market using available databases and sources to find alternative suppliers with competitive conditions
  • Following up on commercial opportunities and actively seeking better prices and product availability as part of continuous improvement of purchasing conditions
  • Contributing ideas about the purchasing strategy and proposing ways to optimize the efficiency of purchasing
  • Continuously and actively following market trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, preferably in Procurement, Sales, or Business
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Buyer of direct or indirect materials
  • Efficient and structured way of working
  • Excellent skills in managing stakeholders and engaging with people
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, any other language is a plus
  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems and ability to learn fast
