The Role
We are seeking a skilled Buyer to carry out the entire purchasing process for specific product groups, including Pharmaceutical Raw Materials such as APIs, Excipients, and Amino Acids, for the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will ensure product availability at the best price and in accordance with Regional and Global strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing and distribution of product streams to regional subsidiaries
Requesting, assessing, and selecting quotations based on product specifications
Negotiating material prices, payment terms, and incoterms, and/or services portfolios in accordance with business strategy
Monitoring order processes to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders and managing suppliers proactively to avoid delays
Escalating issues when necessary
Entering purchase orders, processing, and maintaining data in the ERP system
Monitoring inventory levels and tracking lead times in collaboration with the planning and logistics team
Supporting procurement activities in accordance with Sourcing and Category management team
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Procurement, Sales, or Business
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Buyer of direct or indirect materials
Efficient and structured way of working
Excellent skills to manage stakeholders and engage with people
Fluency in English is mandatory, any other language is a plus
Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
Experience with ERP systems and ability to learn fast
