We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our Capital Projects team at Weir. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in process design and plant optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process design solutions for mineral processing plants, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the selection and specification of equipment, including screens, washers, classifiers, cyclones, pumps, thickeners, and decanters.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure effective project execution, from conceptual design to project closure.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional sales teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
- Ensure safety, ethics, and adherence to intellectual property policies in all aspects of the role.
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Mineral Processing, or Metallurgy required; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record in plant optimization and debottlenecking of mineral processing/metallurgical circuits.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, installation requirements, and simulation programs (Agg-flow, JKSimmet, Usimpac, Metsim).
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to design process improvements for mining equipment and washing plants.
- English fluency required; willingness to travel up to 20%.
