We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Oatly in Ogden, Utah. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective cleaning of production equipment, processing rooms, and adjacent areas, following approved sanitary methods in accordance with food safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and be able to perform swabbing (ATP, Environmental) of equipment and areas in support of site sanitation and environmental programs. They will also be responsible for documenting activities as required and following safety precautions to ensure a safe working environment. Additionally, the Manufacturing Sanitation Specialist will assist QC Technicians in performing Quality GMP audits, Environmental swabs, and Glass and Brittle Plastic inspections.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is able to adapt to changing priorities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with the Quality & Food Safety Manager and other team members.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
  • Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F-80F degrees)
  • Ability to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and/or moving from one worksite (up to 1-mile range) to another
  • Ability to walk for extended periods of time (8-12 hours); ability to bend and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or sanitation environment
  • Knowledge of GMPs and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
