Purchasing Assistant

Join our team at DSI Underground, a leading supplier of ground support products, systems, and solutions, as a Purchasing Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for controlling all aspects of ordering, from raising initial purchase orders to delivery of stock into our system. You will also administer order acknowledgements and confirmations, provide purchasing support to internal users, and identify and propose sourcing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Controlling all aspects of ordering, including raising initial purchase orders and delivery of stock into our system.
- Administering order acknowledgements and confirmations, including follow-up and actions on deviations from purchase orders.
- Providing purchasing support to internal users.
- Identifying and proposing sourcing activities.
- Updating stock records accordingly.
Requirements:
- A degree in logistics, economics, or supply chain management or a related field.
- 1-2 years of work experience in administration and service, preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of MS Office skills.
- Very good command of the English language; other language skills will be an asset.
