Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Platform Software Engineer 4 to join our Data Infrastructure team, responsible for designing, developing, and evolving our cloud-native data infrastructure. As a key member of our Technical Platform group, you will work closely with Architecture, Product Engineering, and Security teams to deliver a self-service offering for Product Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-native data infrastructure solutions, following modern best practices.
- Contribute to the development of our internal developer platform, using modern technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our data infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain tooling and automation frameworks for provisioning and scaling our infrastructure.
- Monitor and observe our platform, assessing the health of our data pipelines and identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage the availability of our databases and streaming platforms, ensuring they meet our scale, capacity, security, resilience, and performance requirements.
- Participate in incident management and response, detecting, diagnosing, and fixing issues at the required Service Levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer, with knowledge of professional software development best practices.
- Experience with distributed systems, streaming technologies, and database cluster deployment.
- Expertise in operating services on Linux systems, container technologies, and cloud-based platforms.
- Good knowledge of monitoring solutions and experience with programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Bash.
- Experience building self-service internal development platforms and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, collaborative mindset, and excellent organizational skills.
- Curiosity to learn new things and discover new technologies.
- Strong communication skills and professional level of English.
