Job Description

EDP Renewables is a global leader in the renewable energy sector, producing wind and solar energy. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company's projects from prospect to delivery, ensuring they are carried out under the best conditions to contribute to the successful fulfillment of the business plan.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the identification of suitable geographical locations for solar or wind farms to contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives.
  • Keep project progress up to date, promote information exchange, and ensure objectives are met to monitor project progress.
  • Establish a network of high-level contacts with frequent ground presence.

Project Management:

  • Responsible for projects from identification/confirmation of opportunities to transfer to Construction and AM Team, following company processes and tools.
  • Guarantee delivery time and project costs from promotion stage to operation.

Coordination:

  • Supervise and coordinate teams involved in each project phase (engineering, construction, purchasing, financing, M&A, Energy assessment, environment, legal consultancy...).
  • Ensure complete coordination of all interventions and quality of contributions.

Knowledge of the Competence Sector:

  • Understand competitors and main participants in the energy business, propose strategies, detect opportunities, and foresee risks to guarantee the company's competitive position.
  • Identify and forge potential cooperation with other promotion companies or relevant actors.
