Maintenance and Engineering Director

About the Role:
As a key member of the Storio Group team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering functions at our plant facility. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and engineers, ensuring that all plant equipment is functioning at optimal levels, production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the maintenance and engineering teams, ensuring they are motivated, productive, and focused on delivering results.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set performance goals, and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging new ideas and initiatives that enhance plant performance.
- Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that the team complies with all health and safety regulations and that all staff are trained to work safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, quality, and safety, to ensure seamless coordination of activities and achieve overall plant objectives.
- Develop and manage the capex budget for the maintenance and engineering functions, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Proven experience managing capex budgets and leading large-scale projects.
- Experience with Asset Management Systems and related software tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
