About the Role

Sandoz, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly skilled HSE Safety Engineer to join our team in Palafolls, Spain. As a key member of our Industrial Products department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of our manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage HSE risks associated with new projects and construction works
  • Develop and implement effective HSE management systems and procedures
  • Provide HSE guidance and support to project teams and site personnel
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in a relevant field (e.g. safety, health, environmental science)
  • Master's degree in Health and Safety or a related field (mandatory)
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial HSE roles, with a strong focus on safety and risk management
  • Sound knowledge of HAZOP, ATEX, and self-protection plans
  • Fluent English and Spanish language skills
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and environmental management principles
