SIX is seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer to join our team. As a Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our storage infrastructure, including NetApp and Hitachi systems. You will work closely with our international team to develop and improve our storage platforms, ensuring they meet the high demands of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve NetApp and Hitachi storage platforms
  • Implement solutions based on these vendors in Spain datacenters
  • Constantly evaluate and optimize security configurations in our storage environments
  • Support colleagues in the block, file, and object storage area
  • Analyze and rectify faults in the area of responsibility (second and third level support, performance tuning) incl. On-call service

Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of NetApp AFF and FAS systems (ONTAP 9.X) and Hitachi VSP
  • Basic knowledge of SAN (Brocade) and Object Storage (S3 on Hitachi Content Platform) is a plus
  • Education or further education in computer science
  • High level of initiative and enjoyment of constantly building up and passing on knowledge
  • Independent, solution- and implementation-oriented way of working with high quality standards and a holistic approach
  • Good command of English (written and oral), German and/or Spanish is a plus
