About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Assistant to join our team at ICL Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial and managerial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist the Business Controller in preparing schedules and interacting with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including the business controller, local HR team, and Director of Finance.
  • Support the reporting manager in quarterly balance sheet review processes and perform balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis.
  • Perform assigned internal control/SOX activities and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Carry out monthly and annual accounting closings, reporting to corporate management.
  • Monitor the financial evolution and analysis of group companies at the P&L and Balance sheet level, ensuring compliance with defined parameters and proposing recommendations.
  • Guarantee the implementation of processes, procedures, and policies necessary for the correct development of activity in each group company, acting as Internal Auditor.
  • Coordinate all audit processes of group companies, managing data and people.
  • Manage administrative-financial processes of one of our subsidiaries.
  • Provide general support in financial, fiscal, and administrative processes of various subsidiaries.
Requirements
  • University degree in Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting and/or reporting related roles in a large multi-national (preferably in a shared service environment).
  • Knowledge of general ledger operational accounting (Spanish).
  • Strong knowledge of front-end GL/reporting systems, preferably QAD, SAP consolidation NetSuite system.
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
