About the Role
Thermo Fisher Scientific is a leading global provider of scientific instrumentation, software, and services. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by ensuring the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of contract templates, process, and negotiation parameters. Your primary responsibilities include managing an assigned workload of clients, overseeing associated investigator grant budgets, and ensuring quality, objectivity, and risk analysis in the efficient delivery of contract templates, process, and negotiation parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence the outcome of negotiations to ensure conformity to business needs, proper risk allocation, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate contentious issues at multiple levels internally and with customer negotiation teams, maintaining risk exposure in mind.
  • Generate creative options to break through negotiation impasses that work for all parties.
  • Continually strive to make the contracting process more efficient, effective, and customer-centric.
  • Maintain and utilize the database within the contract management system of current and terminated contracts.
