Role Overview

FieldCore is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Field Engineering Program and Technical Field team based in Spain. As a Field Engineering Program Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop in-depth technical expertise, lean thinking, and leadership skills through our comprehensive training curriculum and on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage controls activities on site during Installation, Commissioning, and Maintenance of heavy-duty turbines/equipment (generator or mechanical drive)
  • Review plant engineering documents and P&ID's, troubleshoot plant systems and equipment, and plan, organize, integrate, and direct resources as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements
  • Actively manage controls activities on site during Installation, Commissioning, and Maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, PLCs, and other GE provided controls systems (MKVIe, MKVI, MKV)
  • Provide timely and accurate internal and external reports, expert consultation on complex projects, and technical direction and support on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) packaged products

Requirements

  • Fluency in English with strong technical competence and passion for engineering
  • Strong ownership and work ethic, desire to learn and problem solve, and positive can-do attitude with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments, willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments, and ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments
