About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS BigData Engineer to join our team at Ad4 Octogono. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable big data infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Implement Big Data Infrastructure: Develop and maintain scalable big data infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, ensuring high availability and performance.
  2. Manage Big Data Services: Implement and manage large-scale big data services on AWS, including EMR, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, and Glue.
  3. Develop and Maintain Data Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Spark/Scala, and NoSQL databases.
  4. Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Develop and implement data quality and integrity processes to ensure accurate and reliable data.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, and product management, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Requirements
  1. Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python, as well as experience with Unix/Linux and Code Repositories such as GIT and Maven.
  2. Big Data Experience: Experience with Big Data Technologies, including Hadoop, Spark/Scala, and NoSQL databases.
  3. Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based services, including AWS, and IaC tools such as Terraform.
  4. DevOps Knowledge: Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins and Jira.
  5. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
  1. Analyst Skills: Ability to translate technical requirements into clear and concise solutions.
  2. Test Case Development: Ability to create test case scenarios and develop test plans.
  3. Advanced SQL Knowledge: Ability to develop and maintain complex SQL queries and ensure data integrity.
  4. Documentation: Experience with creating technical documentation and specifications.
  5. Finance Knowledge: Experience working in financial services or banking organizations, with an understanding of financial services, retail, business, and corporate banking.
  6. Control-M Experience: Experience with Control-M, including creating jobs and modifying parameters.
