About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team at Ad4 Octogono. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Delivery: Ensure that software delivery meets quality and scope expectations.
  • User Story Development: Develop user stories, working solo or in collaboration with a colleague.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including business, UX designers, architecture, and engineering managers, to refine and understand user stories at the correct level.
  • DevOps Practices: Ensure that delivered solutions are developed under DevOps practices and the latest technology trends.
  • Incident Management: Minimize incidents and maximize quality of service by keeping solutions running healthy in production.
  • Craftsmanship: Demonstrate pride in craftsmanship and the results delivered.
Requirements
  • Mandatory Skills
    • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of AWS services.
    • Strong knowledge of writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
    • Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kong, GitLab, Jenkins, and GitHub.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • AWS and DevOps certifications are desirable but not essential.
    • Experience with ECS, ECR, EKS, EC2, Faregate, Lambdas, IAM, RDS, rational and non-rational databases, document management (Mongo), PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Nice to Have
    • Experience with architecture tools, such as Avolution Abacus.
    • Salesforce Architecture Certification: Admin, App Builder, Sales Consultant, Service Consultant.
    • Knowledge and experience of AWS and Cloud Architectures.
    • Experience in building APIs.
    • Understanding of industry reference models and approaches, such as TOGAF, BIAN, Archimate, and C4.
