About the Role
This is a key position in the development of applications that meet our high standards. As a Senior Android Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust, responsive applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Your expertise will be invaluable in building features from scratch and refining existing components.
Responsibilities
- You will work closely with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions that cater to the needs of our clients.
- Help design client-side and server-side architecture to ensure seamless integration.
- Bulk-front-end application development through visually appealing designs and attention to detail.
- Reuse components to maintain code clarity and efficiency.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code that meets our rigorous standards.
- Thoroughly test software to guarantee responsiveness and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software to ensure optimal performance.
- Create secure data protection settings to safeguard our clients' sensitive information.
- Built-in features and applications with a responsive design that enhances user experience.
- Write comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to continually improve software quality.
- Provide valuable inputs to develop robust software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A deep understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to effectively handle various screen sizes.
- Knowledge of Android Porting and Build process to streamline our development workflow.
- No less than 5 years of experience in native app development, with a strong focus on creating efficient and user-friendly applications.
- Substantial experience with video processing, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning to optimize our software solutions.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient Android apps using the Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, Jetpack components, SQLite Database, and MVVM Architecture.
- The ability to manage the full technical life-cycle of Android applications during each development phase, including functional technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- A personal computer (with relevant software and subscriptions provided) to work efficiently.
- Excellent English language proficiency (C1-C2 in CEFR Scale).
- A quiet workspace at home with reliable internet access (50 Mbps or more).
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, we would prefer candidates with:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Kotlin.
- Experience in FireTV/OTT application development or Smart TV app development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, server management, and multi-platform hybrid platforms.
- Proficiency in NodeJS as a backend language.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant certifications in cloud computing or backend development.
Work Details
- Base Salary: USD 4,000 - 6,000 per month, dependent on experience and location.
- Role type: Full-time Contractor.
- Location: Argentina (Remote - Work from home).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
