About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team at Block&Capital. As a key member of our QA team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and dependability of our SaaS/UI products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated functional tests to guarantee the quality and reliability of our products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, testers, and stakeholders to influence product design, testability, and execution.
  • Analyze application functionalities and devise automated tests to ensure the functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of our software.
  • Establish and manage QA tools and testing frameworks to aid in the integration of nightly builds or other CI phases.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in a software development environment.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, Junit, Cucumber, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Java at a high level).
  • High level in maven and project configuration, knowledge of maven plugins.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of distributed version control system (git), and knowledge of CI/CD tools, Jenkins, and bash scripting.
  • High command of English.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of MongoDB would be valued.
  • Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic setting.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
