Position: Chief Project Engineer

The AP Technology Deployment division is in search of four Chief Project Engineers to oversee the AP300 product development initiative.

These project engineers will report directly to the AP300 Project Engineering Manager and will be allocated to one or multiple technical domains. Their key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Functional Area Lead(s) to guarantee progress and execution of project scope
  • Managing the project schedule and budget effectively
  • Serving as the primary liaison for Functional Area Leads and the Project Coordinator
  • Representing the discipline in the Product Development Review Meeting (PDRM) as outlined in the relevant sections
  • Providing support to the Project Engineering Manager and Design Technical Lead as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years of pertinent work experience, with prior involvement in AP1000 or AP300 projects preferred
  • Willingness to travel internationally as project demands dictate (up to +/- 25% during peak periods)
  • Expertise in at least one of the following technical fields: Nuclear systems design, Turbine Island/Balance of Plant systems, structural design, NSSS components design and analysis, piping layout and/or analysis, licensing, plant layout integration, digital design (configuration control), civil, structural and architectural engineering, or electrical design
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to build effective networks across various functional areas is essential.
