Job SummaryThis is a challenging role for a Senior Project Development Engineer who will play a key part in our mission to identify and evaluate business opportunities worldwide related to wind farms, PV plants, BESS, and hybrid projects. As a senior member of our M&A and Development teams, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing technical support for these projects, analyzing technical information, and ensuring uniform criteria are applied when evaluating different investment alternatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project development, with experience in due diligence, project assessment, and capex estimation. You will be required to work closely with our M&A and Business Development areas, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
Main Accountabilities- Project Technical Assessment: Define and execute the scope of the technical assessment for potential projects to be acquired, collaborating with transversal engineering activities to supervise and support globally the M&A and Origination teams in the analysis of business opportunities and initiatives.
- Project Pre-Design: Conduct project assessments, including location and interconnection studies, site conditions evaluations, ground conditions analyses, and electrical system assessments.
You will also be responsible for managing the initial engineering and design phase of projects analysis in all geographies where EDPR has presence, identifying technical upsides and levers that optimize the project, mitigating technical risks, reducing CAPEX, and increasing revenues.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project development, due diligence, and capex estimation.
- Strong knowledge of wind farm, PV plant, BESS, and hybrid project development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
