We are actively seeking a Senior Interoperability Architect to become an integral member of our delivery team, overseeing various interoperability projects within the healthcare domain.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with applying standards, methodologies, and implementation guidelines to facilitate data integration across public health and healthcare systems.

This is a hands-on role that will engage with multiple, concurrent data interoperability initiatives, requiring daily interactions with business stakeholders, partners, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop specific artifacts to facilitate data integration, including data dictionaries, traceability matrices, and test messages.
  • Validate messages utilizing both automated and manual tools.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and end-users to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.
  • Analyze and document customer needs and business workflows related to interoperability processes.
  • Automate testing and validate implemented interfaces based on client specifications.
  • Maintain and support existing interfaces.
  • Employ creative problem-solving techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in gathering and interpreting information.
  • Capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability and messaging standards, including but not limited to HL7 2.x, HL7 3.x, HL7 FHIR, IHE integration profiles, and X12 HIPAA transactions.
  • Knowledge of XML technologies (XML, XSD, XSL/XSLT).
  • Familiarity with Web services/APIs.
  • Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SOAP, REST).
  • Proficient in SQL and DSL languages.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, etc.).

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • HL7 Certification.
  • FHIR Certification.
  • Background in public health or healthcare informatics.
  • Familiarity with standard-based vocabulary and terminology, including SNOMED-CT and LOINC.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
