Job Description

Purpose of the role

The Tech Business Analyst will serve as a bridge between the Business and IAG Tech, understanding and capturing business needs to enable IT to develop, test, and deploy solutions that deliver target business benefits.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work in partnership with IAG Tech, third-party suppliers, and the business to use structured best practice methodologies to understand business needs, target benefits, and priorities.
  • Create and manage requirements workshop plans and lead workshops to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Capture and document business requirements in a structured and formatted way that enables IAG Tech to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support IAG Tech with designing solutions and creating test cases.
  • Consider both business needs and IAG Tech Enterprise Architecture Strategy when supporting solution design.
  • Manage the review and sign-off/approval of documented requirements.
  • Ability to deliver on several projects simultaneously, with varying breadth and complexity.

Additional Responsibilities

This role may require travel and working from multiple sites/locations. Willingness to travel and participate in meetings, workshops, and other related activities is essential.

Qualifications

Education Required:

  • Educated to degree level

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Recognised Business Analysis qualifications (e.g. BCS Certification in Business Analysis)
  • Recognised Agile and Waterfall qualifications
  • Recognised process engineering qualifications

Desirable Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully performing a Business Analysis role in both Agile and Waterfall delivery settings
  • Demonstrable experience of process engineering and requirement documentation
  • Experience of working in a business and technology delivery environment
  • Experience of working with architecture frameworks, process mapping tools, and Agile and Waterfall management tools
  • Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures

Relevant Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of People Administration processes and tools, with experience working with Success Factors and/or Peoplesoft

  • Proven knowledge on Spanish labour regulation, including Social Security and Taxes processes
  • Strong workshop leader and facilitator
  • Forming strong stakeholder relationships, with a proven ability of influencing, negotiating, and persuading internally and externally
  • Effective senior stakeholder management, balancing and finding compromises between opposing views and opinions
  • Business partnering, working as a valued partner with senior stakeholders across a diverse operation, delivering a value-added service to business customers
  • Strong analytical approach to capturing business requirements, documenting them in a succinct manner
  • Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives
  • Embracing and managing both business and IT change as necessary to help shape future direction
  • Identifies and contributes to the continual improvement of analysis capability across the organisation
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish
