Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Engineer to lead our application security program. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing our appsec program, ensuring the security of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and Manage Appsec Program: Define policies, procedures, and tools to ensure the security of our applications.
  2. Conduct Comprehensive Security Assessments: Identify and remediate vulnerabilities, and collaborate with product and tech teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
  3. Perform Code Reviews: Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and identify insecure design elements.
  4. Execute Penetration Testing: Uncover vulnerabilities and strengthen our defenses using black, gray, and white-box testing methodologies.
  5. Collaborate with Product and Tech Teams: Prioritize vulnerabilities, verify fixes, and integrate security into the development process.
  6. Manage Security Findings: Drive the management of both Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) findings.
  7. Perform Threat Modeling: Identify and mitigate potential security threats using techniques such as STRIDE.
  8. Embed Security Requirements: Partner with Product Managers to embed security requirements into product development.
  9. Educate Developers: Foster a security-conscious culture within our engineering teams by educating developers on secure code best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 5+ years of experience in application security, with a proven track record of identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
  2. Secure Coding Practices: Strong understanding of secure coding practices, including OWASP Top 10 and SANS 25 Most Critical Software Errors.
  3. Security Testing Tools: Experience with static and dynamic application security testing tools.
  4. Penetration Testing: Proficiency in penetration testing methodologies, including black-box, gray-box, and white-box testing.
  5. Threat Modeling: Familiarity with threat modeling techniques such as STRIDE and PASTA.
  6. Cloud Security: Proficiency in Microsoft C# code and expertise in Cloud Security as a distinct advantage.
  7. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
