Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic HR leader to join our team as a Senior Director, EMEA Human Resources Lead. This is a critical role that will require you to partner with our senior leadership team to develop and implement a people and strategy roadmap that meets our overall business and regional strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with our business objectives and drives business results.
- Partner with our global HR Centers of Excellence to develop and localize global HR tools for EMEA and influence their early adoption.
- Lead a wide range of HR-related activities, including talent acquisition, talent management and development, and HR business partner functions.
- Communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and applicable laws to management and employees, and respond to and facilitate the resolution of employee relations and organization development concerns.
- Assist with day-to-day compensation and performance management administration in the region.
- Support succession planning, career development, and retention of talent.
- Serve as a critical liaison between all EMEA locations and our U.S. based corporate headquarters, providing effective and timely communication with the broader global HR team and other corporate stakeholders.
- Provide excellent customer service in a team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cross-functional HR leader, preferably in talent acquisition, talent management, and HR business partner roles.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and aligning HR strategy to business objectives while mitigating risk.
- Strategic thinking capability and hands-on HR plan implementation experience.
- Demonstrated track record of hiring success in a high-growth company and in developing and managing programs to meet aggressive hiring targets.
- Excellent communication, consultative, and influencing skills with an ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
- Customer-focused, flexible, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment, where multiple priorities need to be effectively managed.
- Resilient and able to navigate a matrix operating structure and work in an unstructured and fluid environment.
- Able to work from a position of influence as opposed to authority.
- Current knowledge and fluency in regional labor laws, legal trends, and best practices regarding Human Resources management.
- Experience managing the recruitment process using best hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of industry experience as an HR leader, including union/works council responsibility.
- 13+ years of successful leadership experience in relevant industry in Europe.
- Strong track record in defining and implementing the HR vision and strategy for a regional organization.
- HR leadership experience in Europe (Germany, Spain, France, or Benelux) or UK combined with a regional responsibility.
