Job Title: Research Analyst - Causality Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join our team at Welocalize, Inc. as a Causality Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and answering questions related to causality within various narratives and scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate prompts and responses that delve into causal reasoning, focusing on the relationships and dependencies within given scenarios.
  • Develop guidelines for crafting prompts that explore causality, probing cause-and-effect relationships and relevant connections within narratives.
  • Create and answer questions about causality in narratives, ensuring a deep understanding of how different elements interact and influence each other.
  • Design detailed prompts for various scenarios, investigating causes, effects, and relationships, and exploring how changes in one element can impact the overall narrative.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree (+ 3 years of experience) or PhD in one of the following fields: Cognitive Science, Psychology, Philosophy (with a focus on Classical Logics), Linguistics (with a focus on Computational Linguistics, Pragmatics or Semantics), or NLP research.
  • Alternatively, BA in linguistics + 5 years of relevant work experience in a related field may be considered.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong interest in research and previous experience with published papers or contributions to academic research.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to understand and articulate complex relationships, particularly those involving causality, counterfactuals, and covariation.
  • C2 Spanish (Spain) with B1 in English.
  • Demonstrable experience in causal, counterfactual, or covariational reasoning, evidenced through previous work, research, or academic projects/papers.
