You will be responsible for executing audit testing, identifying risks, assessing mitigating controls, and making recommendations on improving the control environment.
Your Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of credit risk areas and supporting functions
- Execute audit testing and co-ordinate with team members to ensure audit fieldwork is focused on the right areas and documentation meets high quality standards
- Identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment
- Prepare commercially effective audit conclusions and findings, and present to senior management and business clients
- Follow-up on open audit findings and their resolution
- Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Independent in judgment with the ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional or internal audit role within the financial services / banking industry or a related control function
- Detailed understanding of practical and theoretical aspects of credit risk management and operations best supported by formal certifications or practical experience in these areas
