Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Regional Controlling Associate to join our team at Beam Inc. in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our business partners across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide support in the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with company policies, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, including balance sheet forecasts, general ledger account reconciliations, and quality of earnings analysis.
  • Develop in-depth financial analysis and insights for business finance, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
  • Support countries and markets within the region to ensure effective controls and accounting procedures are in place.
  • Act as a business partner for the Global Travel Retail BU, providing advice on accounting implications and reviewing A&P accruals.
  • Participate in the development of training and communication materials, including conducting training sessions to bring consistency across the region.
  • Support regional and corporate projects as required.
Requirements
  • At least 8-12 years of finance experience.
  • Audit experience in Big 4 is a significant advantage.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, or equivalent.
  • Broad practical experience in financial management.
  • Presentation experience, including preparation and delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills to provide insights into businesses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in an international environment.
  • Business fluent in English.
  • SAP R3 FI, BW/EDW experience.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, comfortable with a fast-paced, change environment, result-oriented, and paying careful attention to details.
