Electrical Design Lead

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Lead to join our team at Hargrove and Associates, Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and supervision to a team of designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical and instrumentation design deliverables on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Design Leadership: Provide technical direction and supervision to a team of designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical and instrumentation design deliverables.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical design projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Design Development: Develop and maintain detailed design drawings, specifications, and other documentation required for electrical design projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other disciplines, including mechanical, civil, and process engineering, to ensure seamless integration of electrical design with other project components.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all design deliverables meet the required quality standards, including compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality design work.
- Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
- Experience: 15 or more years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation design and drafting.
- Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Microstation. Familiarity with the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ability to perform lighting level calculations, size wire, conduit, and overcurrent protection, and perform voltage drop calculations.
- Certifications: Certification is not required at this level.
