Job Description:
Manage Complex Projects: Oversee the execution of complex projects and programs with multiple targets, phase II and phase III, and an annual budget of over 10 million euros.
Coordinate with Project Leader: Collaborate with the Project Leader to define strategic plans and scenarios, both internally and with partners.
Provide Strategic Inputs: Contribute to strategic discussions within the team and the Project Leader, and act as a backup when needed.
Monitor and Analyze Project Progress: Track and analyze project critical path, timelines, budget expenses, and actions to meet project goals.
Identify and Resolve Complex Problems: Look beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems critical to achieving objectives.
Ensure Delivery: Ensure delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.
Anticipate and Resolve Discrepancies: Anticipate, identify, and promptly resolve discrepancies in priorities, plans, and activities, bringing analytical thinking to team discussions, particularly in cross-functional issues.
Manage Project Communication: Manage project communication, set agendas, facilitate meetings, develop minutes, and ensure the right distribution of project information in the organization.
Facilitate Team Dynamics: Facilitate team dynamics in coordination with the Project Leader (System Coach).
Report and Present Project Plans: Report and present project plans, risk management activities, and budget aspects to decision-making bodies.
Develop Budget and Forecasts: Develop the budget and regular forecasts of the project (annual, 5-year, long-term).
Access Public Funding: Lead the process to access public funding of all or part of the project.
Coordinate Due Diligence: Coordinate project due diligence with possible partners.
Oversight BD&L Development Plans: Oversight BD&L development plans.
Coordinate, Mentor, and Advise: Coordinate, mentor, and advise Project Managers and Project Manager Associates.
Ensure Proper Alliance Management: Ensure proper Alliance management of the project, from candidate to phase II stage, and collaborate with Corporate Alliance manager from phase III onwards.
Participate in R&D Portfolio Review: Participate in all activities within the R&D Project, Portfolio, Partnership Excellence Department as required.
Contribute to R&D Productivity Benchmarking: Contribute to the regular R&D productivity benchmarking data.
Internal and External Partnerships: Maintain and exploit R&D productivity benchmarking data.
Education and Certification: Bachelor's or Ph.D. degree on biomedicinal or scientific careers. Certification in Project Management (achieved or working to achieve it).
