Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lawyer - Contract Specialist to join our team at Repsol. As a key member of our Wholesale Gas Trading business, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing negotiations of various contractual agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze specific deals during the pre-deal phase to provide advice on contractual clauses to our Front Office team.
- Manage the onboarding process for new counterparties, ensuring compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including Master Sales and Purchases Agreements, EFET, Acuerdo Marco for the Spanish Gas Market, ISDAs, Services Agreements, LNG Confirmation Notices, and other contractual documents.
- Act as the primary point of contact for counterparties and internal departments, facilitating consistent and timely follow-up and ensuring contract compliance.
- Respond to questions and inquiries from our Front Office and Back Office teams regarding contractual terms and conditions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Contracts process and participate in the development of new system features.
- Develop and maintain Contract department policies and procedures.
- Handle Sustainability System documentation, including Proof of Sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Master's Degree in Maritime Law or knowledge in Maritime Law.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position in a Gas/LNG trading business or with ISDA contracts.
- Ability to draft, assess, and negotiate contracts.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level).
- Knowledge of ETRM systems, Allegro Horizon preferred.
