About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI Artist to join our team at Scopely. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for creating and developing the visual language for our user interface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop outstanding UI assets and mockups that showcase your exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the UX Designer to visualize various interface systems in our game, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Provide UI Animation and UI Interaction Design that brings our game to life.
  • Advocate for UI Design best practices and ensure consistency across the game.
  • Produce and deliver efficient and polished visual assets in the accurate format and timeframe.
  • Work closely with engineers and designers to find the best solution that meets the functional requirements.
  • Author and maintain UI-related documentation to ensure clarity and understanding.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a history of shipping games and crafting spectacular UI as a UI artist.
  • Excellent eye for detail and quality, with a strong understanding of graphic design and typography.
  • Extensive portfolio displaying diverse artistic skills, with a focus on UI design and visual storytelling.
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Unity, with experience in prototyping software like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and their relation to UI, with experience in After Effects.
  • Understand core challenges of mobile UI from an artistic and technical perspective.
  • Strong visual design skills and understanding of usability design principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a dynamic, cross-discipline, and iterative team environment.
  • Growth mindset and an eye towards continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive personality and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback.
  • Effectively communicate in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with an IP and understanding of User Experience in mobile video games.
  • Implementation of UI screens in a Unity-based game client.
  • Passion for games and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.
