About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UX Artist to join our team at Rovio, a leading game development company. As a Senior UI/UX Artist, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces for our flagship title, Angry Birds 2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop UI/UX elements, including visual assets, wireframes, and layouts, to enhance the overall gaming experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, and developers, to ensure seamless integration and consistency across the game.
  • Develop and implement UI/UX flows and feature explorations to drive player engagement and satisfaction.
  • Create backgrounds, UI animations, and VFX particle systems to bring the game to life.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members to identify and drive improvements in the project's workflow, structure, and cross-craft process.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in UI/UX design for mobile games, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and expertise.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other visual design and wireframing tools, with a well-developed sense of color and composition.
  • Excellent understanding of visual and interaction design principles, with experience in user-centered design approaches and methods.
  • Knowledge of game art optimization, managing technical visual resources, and restrictions.
  • Ability to take ownership of your work and drive continuous improvement to the game's quality.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to share and receive feedback and elevate your peers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in animating UI in Unity.
  • 2D illustration and concepting skills.
  • Interest in data-driven approaches to optimize art for games business performance.
  • Knowledge of free-to-play best-practices as they relate to interface design.
