About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for interacting with clients to obtain private financial information, performing multifaceted corporate credit analysis, and making judgement calls on structural business strengths and weaknesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to obtain private financial information, ensuring accurate and timely analysis.
  2. Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough financial statement analysis, identifying key trends and risks, and making informed judgement calls on corporate creditworthiness.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with junior analysts to support their development and maximize the productivity of the European CE Team.
  4. Research and Development: Contribute to the Global CE Team's forthcoming monthly publication and author research commentaries that support Empresa reconocida's position as a global Thought Leader in Corporate Credit.
  5. Portfolio Management: Manage the analysis of portfolio companies, ensuring accurate and timely credit estimates.
  6. Tool Mastery: Master familiarity with Empresa reconocida's analytical tools and internal guidance documents to execute the credit estimate process.
  7. Market Research: Produce relevant internal and external research on the European leveraged loan market based on Empresa reconocida's proprietary database information.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Completed a minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience as a corporate credit analyst, especially analyzing European leveraged finance credits.
  2. Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English required; working knowledge of other European languages such as Dutch, German, Italian, and/or French is a plus.
  3. Accounting Knowledge: Working knowledge of IFRS and some understanding of local Spanish accounting standards preferred.
  4. Designations: Chartered Financial Accountant (CFA) or Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA) designation preferred.
  5. Skills: Excellent financial statement analysis skills, knowledge of required legal documentation, strong research skills, and attention to detail.
  6. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with diplomatic tendencies when working with new clients, and strong interpersonal skills and good team interaction capabilities.
  7. Entrepreneurial Spirit: Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to demonstrate creativity/flexibility in finding solutions.
