Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Research Engineer to join our team at the Spanish National Bioinformatics Institute (INB) and contribute to the development of cutting-edge infrastructure for ELIXIR projects and health-related research. The successful candidate will have a strong background in programming and software development, with experience in languages such as Python, Java, and R.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software architecture and its components.
- Integrate our developments with external APIs.
- Document and publish data and software following FAIR standards.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
- MSc in Bioinformatics or equivalent experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong development skills and experience with UNIX/LINUX environments.
- Familiarity with container development using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience working in a collaborative software development environment.
