The Challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and E-Commerce Legal Counsel to join our Legal team. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive legal support for our e-commerce operations, ensuring compliance with evolving laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and fostering ethical business practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including supplier agreements, customer contracts, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
  • Advise on consumer protection laws, including distance selling regulations, unfair commercial practices, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
  • Monitor and advise on legal developments related to e-commerce, including digital services regulations, product safety, and artificial intelligence.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant legal issues, providing clear and concise legal advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing legal disputes and pre-litigation matters, including negotiating settlements.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience as a lawyer specialized in digital law and e-commerce.
  • Degree in Law with strong academic credentials.
  • Admitted to practice law in Spain.
  • Excellent level of English, with fluency in speaking, writing, and drafting agreements.
  • Ability to provide legal guidance across a wide range of legal issues to business stakeholders.
  • Passion for fast-growing companies and tech-driven businesses.
  • Curiosity and interest in learning about the regulatory framework applicable to platforms.

Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate and deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.

Culture-Add Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes.

Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
