About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our team at Unisys. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of large-scale enterprise platforms across multiple industries from legacy implementation to modern architecture and technology stack.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a technical team in building new, innovative solutions and transforming existing applications to more modern platforms
  • Ensure the development of quality infrastructure solutions that meet the requirements and advise clients' senior technical leaders up to 'C' level on Unisys Solution offerings, strategy, designs, specific technologies, implementation approaches and alternatives / tradeoffs
  • Identify opportunities for new or follow-on business and assist in creating change orders
  • Lead advisory services, strategic planning activities and business case development within the assigned Unisys portfolio areas and infrastructure disciplines such as application / storage platforms, databases, networks, security, and IT processes / operations / governance
  • Work within and across practices and organizations to design leading-edge technology or application solutions that result in profitable revenue growth for Unisys
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of industry, technology and strategy trends and use this knowledge to generate profitable revenue growth for Unisys
  • Build relationships with product development organizations and be recognized by these organizations as a key product champion who adds value through exposure to client situations
  • Advises, analyses, researches and leads delivery of complex integrated solutions for an entire enterprise
  • Interface extensively with the client's senior management team (e.g., the IT Directors) on business, systems architectural, and technical issues
  • Provide mentoring and team leadership to other team members
  • Lead the Integration of complex solutions into new or existing client environments
  • Use advanced diagnostic analytical and design capabilities
  • Ensure that the best solution is provided to the customer (e.g., completes solution integrity engineering and development attributes)
  • Lead the Unisys team and client teams on transformational journeys for building overarching microservice, PaaS, and/or serverless architectures with a focus on DevSecOps integration
  • Ensure there is a backlog of stories centred on continuous modernization of the large scale applications in scope
  • Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, developers, operations teams to understand platform requirements, the system & data, and evangelize ways to drive quality and value to the client stakeholders
  • Provide training and coaching as needed to teams modernizing and transforming applications
  • Lead release planning preparation and event facilitation
  • Build high-performing teams across development, quality assurance, and infrastructure
  • Share best practices for design & development
  • Drive the team's triaging capability by taking on challenging problems not understood by front-line support teams
  • Continuously review the technology landscape and advise clients on emerging technology solutions to drive differentiation in our services value proposition
  • Provide technical oversight for technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques
  • Provide technical leadership for pre-sales activities with existing and new clients
Requirements
  • Advanced experience in Multi Cloud Services (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Advanced experience with enterprise-level software delivery and release management practices
  • Advanced experience in creating a strategy and technical approach for transforming enterprise grade legacy platforms to modern platforms using modern tech stack and architecture
  • Deep practical experience in modernizing applications from Mainframe / Legacy platforms to PaaS, Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, or other modern cloud technologies
  • Deep expertise in APIs – REST, SOAP
  • Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns and approaches
  • Ability to create and effectively deliver technology solution presentations to address specific customer needs
  • Deep expertise in cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, Agile, and deployments/configurations and definition/evangelism of best practices/standards
  • Deep expertise in Data platforms – RDBMS, NOSQL, BigData
  • Deep expertise in implementing Single Sign On Authentication workflows using SAML or OAuth
  • Expertise in designing multi-channel experience for enterprise applications
  • Demonstrated expertise in, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements while evangelizing integration methodologies and helping business case justification to C-level executives
  • Development experience in languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust, or others
  • Demonstrated knowledge of latest security best practices (OWASP, CBE, NIST, etc)
  • Knowledge of event-based/message architectures such as Kafka
  • Knowledge of virtual networking (public, private, and hybrid networks and subnetworks), network interfaces, and identity/access management (security groups and roles, network access control lists)
  • Knowledge of latest DevOps technologies (Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, IaC frameworks such as Ansible)
  • Advanced Systems Design
  • Experience with micro-services or cloud-based architectures for enterprise solutions
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience. A Master's degree is a plus
