Job Title: Staff Accountant

Mass Markets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing high volumes of vendor invoices, communicating with vendors and customers, and preparing and processing vendor payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process high volume of vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate with vendors and customers via email and phone
  • Prepare and process vendor payments two times a week
  • Perform vendor account reconciliation upon request
  • Follow up on account statements, vendor invoice discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Basic accounting knowledge to research and resolve accounting issues or discrepancies
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties
  • Monitor and collect account receivables by contacting customers via email
  • Maintain account receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, and miscellaneous differences are timely cleared
  • Perform customer account reconciliation upon request
  • Research customer account inquiries and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Assist in special projects as needed
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Accounting degree
  • Comfortable with processing high volume vendor invoices in an accounting system in a timely and accurate manner
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Accounting system: Great Plains (GP) or any ERP system

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
