About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Public Affairs team in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advising clients on how to navigate complex public policy challenges and build sustainable relationships with policymakers, interest groups, and industry stakeholders.

With a minimum of 5 years' experience in public affairs, you will have a deep understanding of EU policy and be able to provide expert analysis on policy changes. Your strong research, analytical, and writing skills will enable you to track institutional and regulatory updates, oversee research and reporting, and provide actionable insights to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Delivery: Track institutional and regulatory updates, oversee research and reporting, provide analysis on policy changes, and ensure the team advances client programs effectively.
  • Build the business: Help develop the team and contribute to wider marketing initiatives to positively position the firm and practice in the market.
  • Networking: Proactively network with contacts and stakeholders as well as potential clients, demonstrating a high level of integrity and responsible data management.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Proven skills and interest in public affairs, advocacy, issues, and reputation management across a broad range of issues.
  • Good understanding and experience of working with policymakers and stakeholders in Spain/Brussels to further strategic objectives.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish political and regulatory landscape and key discussions.
  • Experience in-house, in a trade body, in a public institution, or advising clients on policy and communications issues.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills with a focus on detail and delivery.
  • Good organisation and presentation skills with a keenness for client and project management.
  • Ability to digest and summarise information to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent English.
  • Great team spirit and determination.
