About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Data Engineer to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our Life Sciences and Healthcare Consulting Services Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to integrate data from various sources. Your expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools will be crucial in building and optimizing data solutions across multiple domains.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong quantitative and analytical focus, preferably with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, IT, or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in data engineering or business intelligence is required. Your proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Python, and BI and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) will be essential in this role. Additionally, experience with ETL technologies (e.g., dbt, Apache NiFi, Talend) and data pipeline management tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster) is highly desirable. Fluency in English, both written and spoken (C1), is also required.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Business Intelligence Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to integrate data from various sources. You will also build and optimize data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence and analytics. Your expertise in data governance and data security best practices will be crucial in ensuring data integrity and availability. You will collaborate with stakeholders, including Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to resolve data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs. Additionally, you will manage and expand the current Business Intelligence platform on the Consulting Operations team, primarily based on Power BI.

Projects You Will Be Working On

You will be part of various data-driven projects, such as data integration, business intelligence dashboards, process optimization, and data governance. The team works on transforming data into valuable insights for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and data integrity.
