We're seeking an IT Programme Manager to join us in Madrid. As a key liaison for the business, you'll oversee and manage multiple IT projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy and strategic priorities. You'll lead a portfolio of change projects, coordinating resources and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve intended outcomes. You'll also mentor Project Managers and help establish delivery standards.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver complex projects and portfolios of change
  • Manage and influence stakeholders across the business at all levels
  • Identify skills and resources needed for project delivery and recruit and build a project team
  • Manage third parties to deliver to their commitments for our business
  • Lead on business case production and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with project governance, reporting, and tracking
  • Define project scope, employing techniques for scope traceability between programmes and projects
  • Review and monitor progress against project plans to ensure outputs are delivered to time, budget, and quality specifications
  • Manage risks, issues, and resources to ensure milestone dates are achieved
  • Estimate project costs and manage projects within the agreed budget
  • Report project progress in line with stated policies and procedures
  • Engage in regular communication with stakeholders and sponsors
  • Establish teams to ensure efficient delivery of projects
  • Take responsibility for the efficient running of these teams
Qualifications:
  • Extensive programme and project planning experience, preferably in the IT space
  • Strong resource, change, and budget management experience
  • Proven experience of Change Delivery within the Financial Services industry
  • Experience and understanding of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Previous experience of working with outsourced service providers
  • Understanding of Information Technology systems within a Financial Services platform environment
  • PRINCE2, PMP, or another recognised professional Change Delivery qualification is preferred
  • Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset
  • A flexible approach and the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
