Job OverviewThe Senior Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our organization's cybersecurity strategies and initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity threats, advanced technical expertise, and a proactive approach to protecting our information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity programs and strategies to protect our digital assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration tests to identify potential risks and security breaches.
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, respond to security threats in real-time, and manage incident response processes.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with industry regulations and best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development practices and to integrate security into the DevOps process.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on emerging cybersecurity threats and the implementation of security technologies.
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees to foster a culture of cybersecurity across the organization.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology advancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- At least 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record in a senior or leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and identity and access management (IAM) tools.
- Experience with cloud security, particularly in environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
