Role Purpose and Context
The School Nurse will be a key member of the school nursing team, working collaboratively with the team responsible for the school's Health Department for children from 2 to 18, across all sections. The successful candidate will provide clinically skilled and individualized care to pupils, as well as occasional support to staff and visitors.
Main Accountabilities
- Nursing: Provide high-quality nursing care to children, including general pastoral and intimate care.
- Health Education: Develop and implement health education programs for pupils, promoting healthy lifestyles and well-being.
- Nursing Administration: Manage nursing services, including risk assessments and health and safety protocols.
- Health & Safety: Contribute to the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Liaison: Establish and maintain effective relationships with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support.
- Strategic Development: Participate in the development of strategic plans to improve the health and well-being of pupils.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Language Requirements
The successful candidate will be proficient in English and Spanish, with a minimum level of B2 in CEFR or equivalent. Relevant language certifications or experience should be indicated in the application form and CV. Language tests may be required, and the candidate may be hired conditional on achieving the required level of certification within a 12-month period.
Additional Requirements
- Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility with working hours and section of school, subject to operational needs.
