Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our Cloud Operations Team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering cutting-edge solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to design, implement, and refine automated deployment, operations, and monitoring tools or new product features.
  • Deploy and upgrade systems in the AWS environment, utilizing EC2 IaaS, EKS, AWS services, and databases.
  • Define metrics, collect data, and enhance service monitoring to detect potential issues before they impact customers.
  • Predict and mitigate future system failures.
  • Optimize and fine-tune systems to ensure reliability and high availability in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues from the network and application layers down to the infrastructure level, including reliability issues.
  • Contribute to customer SLAs in Cloud infrastructure deployments on Digital TV ecosystems.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation policy to monitor services and respond to emergency problems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cloud Engineer or System Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems in a production environment, including configuration, networking, and basic scripting (Python, Bash, Ruby, or any other).
  • Familiarity with AWS Public Cloud and containers technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) and networking.
  • Knowledge of Cloud deployment tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Helm.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as CodeCommit/GitHub/GitLab.
  • Ability to develop tools and scripts to automate tasks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines architecture and technologies: Jenkins, GitLab, AWS Code Pipeline.
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Familiarity with Agile framework and DevOps concepts.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
