Position Overview
Role Summary:
As a Cloud Security Operations Engineer at Roche, you will lead a team of specialists responsible for the development and management of secure, automated, and consistent operating system images tailored for cloud environments. Your collaboration with the SecDevOps team will be crucial in ensuring that these images are seamlessly integrated into our continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, allowing for efficient and secure deployment.
Key Duties:
- Engage with software developers and project stakeholders to gather requirements, ensuring that the operating system images align with cloud service needs.
- Oversee the CI/CD pipeline for cloud-based OS images, guaranteeing their secure and effective integration.
- Facilitate the scalability and security of OS images within cloud infrastructures.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices in SecDevOps and cloud technology, applying this knowledge to enhance team methodologies.
- Understand and implement the CIS Benchmarks, effectively communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Diagnose and resolve cloud OS image-related issues promptly and efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a DevSecOps role or equivalent.
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure and tools, including Terraform, Packer, Ruby, Inspec, and scripting in Linux and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Rundeck, and GitLab.
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of best practices for cloud image hardening.
- Effective communication skills in both spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Insight into information security technologies.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks.
